I am fairly certain origin cdn are actually akamai servers so when you refer to the issue "is your servers" we are talking akamai servers, these will be GEODNS based so changing DNS servers can have an impact. sometimes why if someone is using googles dns, the ISP dns can perform better as it is pointing to a much closer cdn, this is just an example not applicable in all cases like for me below.
